Chinese Brush Painting

Course Objectives

To learn how to create Chinese Ink through ink stone and ink stick. To learn how to paint subjects such as birds, scenery, fish, insect, fruits, flowers, etc. To understand the strokes and flow in Chinese Brush Painting. To learn the application and connection between Chinese Calligraphy for Chinese painting.  To appreciate and enjoy the rich culture of Chinese through ink and brush painting.

Key Learning focus

This class is to explore, experience and learn more about Chinese culture. Our innovative teaching and creative delivery will develop the interest about the chinese culture. Learn and explore a wide variety of themes such as flowers, insects, birds, animals, or scenery.
Chinese Ink Bamboo Sparrow
The course covers use of chinese ink stick to create ink and colours. Students will learn the techniques of using Chinese Brushes and traditional rice papers to do painting, lines or tones. Learn how to paint and apply colours in Chinese Painting accordingly. Teacher will demonstrate, explain and teach the full process of Chinese Brush Painting. Students will observe, practice and have fun painting with self confidence.

ARTeach Program
Instructors are trained under a comprehensive in-house ARTeach Teacher training program to understand how to teach effectively, doing good practice and philosophy of teaching with UniqArts and Technologies.

Creativity-Juice Program
During the program, we incorporate creativity-juice process for creative thinking, creative problem solving and ideas development. This program helps to engage the right and left side of the brain actively. 

Creative Art Therapy
During the lesson, therapeutic process is integrated through our Creative Art Therapy program. Therapy is practiced through mindfulness for stress release, relaxation and recharge.

Bi-Lingual Teaching

This course is for both Chinese and non-chinese speaking participants. Our teacher is competent and fluent in both English and Chinese language. Students will benefit from full understanding during the class and they can ask questions in their either English or Chinese language.

By Professional Teacher

Mr. Lee Thiam Seng (Paul) is the an artist, art therapist and founder of UniqArts and Technologies in 1995. Mr. Lee holds a Masters of Art in Art Therapy and a Business Management Degree from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technologies. He has been practising Chinese Brush Painting  since 1990. He is the creator for Creativity-Juice program that engage actively for critical and creative thinking for ideas and problem solvinng skill. He is the principal trainer and developer of ARTeach program. Mr. Lee has been teaching art Corporations, adult and children.

Course fee

$435/= (For 8 sessions, 1.5 hours per session)
$30/= Registration Fee One time.
Students to bring their own art materials or pay $205 for a complete set of Chinese scholar treasures (Brush, Ink, Rice paper, Ink stick, Chinese seal, Red Ink, etc. material price is subject to stock availability and subject to change without notice).
