Origami is a term coined in Japan as Ori:folding and Gami: paper. This is an art of folding papers from a single or multiple sheets of papers. Folding may be done even without use of scissor or glue and the final product can be firm, aesthetic and highly functional.

The art of folding papers helps to co-ordinate left and right brain functions. The reasons for doing Origami Therapy: A great form Mindfulness. It is a safe and easy form of light exercise for every age group. Expression is subtle and non invasive. It can be used to prevent dementia because the memory involves both past and present.

We practice and engage Mindfulness Therapy through the use of art and creativity to find peace, purpose and wellness. Mindfulness Therapy aims to provide the practice and learning how to be use art as mindfulness source for good health and wellness.
Creativity-Juice program is introduced throughout the Creative Art Therapy to facilitate members creative thinking, creative problem-solving and visual thought process. This is essential for Creative Art Therapy to engage the active part of our creative self to feel fresh and think differently. Creativity-Juice is to use to remove our mental blocks in order to recover and heal from psychological and physical wounds.
We focus on the use of Positive Psychology during Creative Art Therapy process and treatment. Positive psychology is a scientific way to embrace strength of a person or group and using this strength as the source for wellness and treatment.
Psychotherapy through ArtCreative Art Therapy uses psychotherapy through art to express, resolve and relieve from all kinds of pressure or stress from life. This form of psychotherapy is subtle and safe. You do not need to talk about it as your art will do the talking and healing. Creative Art Therapy through psychotherapy allows troubled mind to recover, heal or find creative ways to tend our psychological wounds and trauma.
Origami Therapy helps group as ice breaker. It can be used to enhance bonding together. Group support is encouraged during Origami Therapy.

Written consent will be obtained to release any of the art therapy works or information to the public. Art therapist will treat all discussion and art works as personal and private for treatment purpose only.

$80 nett per session for 1 hour. First session may be used as an trial, assessment and diagnosis. $435 for 8 sessions, 1.5 hours per session. Excluding materials. Please bring along your Origami papers.

Therapy ProcessThe process of Art Therapy is the engagement of creative art making. Art is being used to gain good understanding of the cause of the issues. Participants are to engage and enjoy themselves during guided or free art activities.
All our Art Therapy program, treatment and event will be facilitated by qualified, trained and experienced Art Therapist - Mr. Lee Thiam Seng (Paul). Mr. Lee is an artist, art teacher, art therapist, consultant and founder of UniqArts and Technologies in 1995. Mr. Lee holds a Masters of Art in Art Therapy from LaSalle College of the Arts and a Bachelor Degree in Management from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia.
He has experience in running individual and group art therapy treatment for pupils at Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN), women with breast cancer at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH), psychotic patients at Changi General Hospital (CGH) Psychiatric Ward, older adults (geriatric) at Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital's (KWSH) Day Rehabilitative Center and Geriatric Day Hospital (GDH) at CGH. Mr. Lee conducted a research at KKH with Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval for his Art Therapy masters thesis: "Art Therapy as a Modality of Healing in Stages - For Women with Breast Cancer." Mr. Lee also integrated Taichi exercise with Art Therapy, Team Building through art and creativity and Healing Art Therapy.
